Ae. Ishka and Taz will also train and this will be the first rally that
all four dogs will train in.

Shadow has his final boosters and the all clear from the vet at 12 weeks
old already and doesn't time fly.
April 06, 2008:
Alba wins the Post Graduate class at the SSHC open show at the pivot centre.
Taz wins the puppy dog class at the SSHC open show at the pivot centre.
Taz wins best puppy dog in show at the SSHC open show at the pivot centre.
The first time we saw a Siberian Husky we were amazed at how beautiful they are. Our first pack member Alba is a one of a kind and a real character. He has many wonderful traits but his speciality is to lie down at the countdown to a race and then jump up when the countdown starts to drop below 60 seconds.
Alba
was brought home in the middle of September 2006 with much trepidation and
slight nervousness on our part. We had investigated the breed and chatted
for hours with the breeder but still as he was our first understandably
we were a bit nervous. Typical of the breed Alba was a most handsome dog
all ears at the tender age of two months but still handsome all the same.
He has settled in very well and taught us a lot about the breed in general
and how gentle but mishievous they can be. He particularly enjoys being
cuddled by the grand children where we visit and had many photographs taken
at the Aviemore Rally 2007.
The picture to the left shows Alba at his first race at Ae Dumfries & Galloway 2007 picking up the Winners trophy for the Scooter class. An amazing feat for such a young dog and especially having to drag my lard around for nearly two miles.
Alba's five year family tree history which can be viewed here for his father.
Here
is Worf out in the back yard guarding mums trainers. Worf has grown up to
be a strong and large Siberian Husky but very gentle with adults and children
alike. He is aptly named after the Klingon character in Startrek the Next
Generation as he is a warrior but faithful to his leader.
Here is Worf's five year family history which can be viewed for his grandfather and his grandmother.
Here
is Ishka and Worf sitting pretty together. Ishka is on the left with the
blue eyes and Work is on the right with the auburn eyes. Ishka is a little
princess gentle but fun loving as well. Typical for the breed her brother
and herself get up to all sorts of mishief and play rough at times which
needs a stern telling off from us mere humans on occasion. Typical for the
breed as can be seen from the picture at this young an age they are all
ears and look very cute of course.
Here is Ishka's five year family history which can be viewed for her grandfather and her grandmother.
Here
is Taz our fourth Siberian Husky and a brother of Alba our alpha male from
the same parentage but the next litter after Alba. Taz is a little cutie
who is growing up to be a large cutie. He is the stalwart and backbone of
the pack and is not shy to tell the other members off for being too playful
or noisy.
He is the last pack member to howl in the morning wake up call but we are sure this will not last as he moves up the hierachy as he gets older.
Here is Taz's five year family history which can be viewed for his father.
Alba
and Taz having a quiet and restful moment. It is a real delight to watch
the huskies all squeeze together during there snooze time when there not
in there crates of course. With four huskies it is sometimes difficult to
see where the floor or carpet begins and ends.
Alba
and Ishka chilling out after some eating and watering after one of the rally
venues in 2007. Ishka will be 12 months old at the beginning of December
and Alba is seventeen months in the middle of December. Doesn't time fly
with the dogs and how they grow amazing.
The
picture to the left shows the pack all pegged up after a hard day enjoying
themselves at Culbin forest 2007. This was our second visit to Culbin although
the first time in February 2007 we were visiting only as rally spectators.
This time there was no sign of frost or snow on the ground and we had a
fantastic time and enjoyed the course and fellow mushers and there dogs
company immensely.
Here
is a picture of Shadow at last our new acquisition. He is now twelve weeks
old and has just visited the local vets and had his final boosters and been
given the all clear.
All the pack had a wonderful Christmas and good start to 2008 although so far we have only had a light fall of snow they all enjoyed running out in it for a couple of hours in the back yard.
